Sometimes you just need a midnight milkshake

Wednesday, 24 April 2013

By some incredible stroke of luck, this ordinary day became extraordinary just before the stroke of midnight. So I'd had dinner and the classic question is asked in our flat 'Who want's to order takeaway?' I'm often good (so good, that I end up just eating everyone's leftovers...) aaaaaaaaaaanyway, so I answered with a firm 'no' feeling quite proud of myself until... I discovered that the takeaway was going to be from a late night dessert parlour!!!!
I love dessert!!!
So I ended up getting a Crunchie chocolate bar flavoured cookie and a banana split with vanilla ice cream.
But our total order was:
1 x banana split
1 x strawberry ice cream with cookie dough
2 x Crunchie chocolate bar milkshake
1 x Aero milkshake
1 x Oreo Milkshake
2 x Pepperoni Pizza (one without cheese... don't ask)

I couldn't actually eat the banana split there and then because the milkshake was super filling and delicious. Here's a little snapshot! It had sprinkles!

Then we cosied up and watched The Proposal, I love that film! I don't like the ending so much but when they're in the country house and prepping for the wedding, ah I just love that bit, it makes me want to go to Alaska!

Too rock & roll for words

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do,
and what I gotta do is take some time out, catch up on all the things that I re prioritise at the bottom to the bottom of my to-do list and face it instead!

Here's my night-time snack companion for video editing tonight!

Peanut butter (smooth) on toast
Alpro Soya chocolate milkshake, I love these two companions together! They're so delicious!
I'll give you a hint for tomorrows video- It has bubbles!
Also, I'm thinking of making it a part of a 'How to get to sleep' series... because I never have ANY trouble getting to sleep!

Icy Sunshine Funshine

Monday, 23 July 2012

I'm staying with my ssiter which is so so fun
and.... while I'm here summer has rolled along too which is the most pleasant surprise as it was becoming mid July with just rain rain rain
So at the first sign of sun my sister and I headed out to indulge in some summer shopping and there was a really fun sale on at Jack Wills, I was very tempted to buy these little red shorts with white tennis rackets all over but right at the last minute I put them down because I decided that while I may want them I don't actually need them.

On a more delicious note we cooled down with milkshakes from Cafe Nero I got peppermint flavour and my sister got a more healthy strawberry and raspberry. They were both delicious but I think mine was the best! It was mixed with crushed ice so it was really icy cold and refreshing and I've never had a milkshake that was just mint before, usually it's mixed with chocolate which believe me is not as good as mint by itself.

Afterwards we had lunch in a sweet little cafe which was lovely under the sun, there was ivy entwined all around and the cafe looked like a converted house which made it feel all 'homey'
I ordered delicious pasta with mushrooms and my sister had a baguette

Afterwards we headed back home and fell asleep in the sunshine!

What I wore for Saturday shopping

Sunday, 29 January 2012

Even though today is Sunday and I went shopping yesterday with my Aunt, by the time I got home I was too tired to upload pictures!
I wore a cream knit cardigan from Joe Browns
A brown skinny belt from Forever 21
Pattern leggings from Joe Browns
Black ankle boots with a buckle from New Look
Here's a little peek...

For makeup I went for full face coverage, a pale eye with a light brown thoroughly blended into the crease, brown eyeliner which I smudged with a brush to make it look more 'worn' and a rose coloured lip, this was how it turned out:

Saturday breakdown:

-First off, we went to Wahaca to eat, it was scrum diddly-umptious, we shared a grilled steak taco, winter vegetable taco, a chicken guajillo tostada, and a huitlacoche quesadilla - and noo I don't know how to pronounce any of those! All I know is that it was very delicious, and the only restuarant I've been to where they had a sink out in the front part allowing you to give your hands a good wash before your eat.
www.wahaca.co.uk

-Then with our bellys full we began shopping, I got a Ted Baker tote which I looove, a lipstick shirt from Punkyfish (it's so sparkly!) and some dullsville notecards for revision *yawn* Even with the sales on their were so many beautiful things that my lil' bank balance wouldnt be able to handle, things I fell in love with but had to leave on the shelf included:
 Blush Ombre
- MAC Daphne Guiness gradient blusher

MAE - Facet gem ring
-Ted Baker gem ring

ABBEE - Printed cropped jacket
-Ted Baker Floral Jacket and shorts

We finished off by grabbing milkshakes from a fun milkshake bar called 'Sblended' where they blend your favourite sweets into a milkshake, but some flavours are so weird like a marmite milkshake! eww! I stuck to my plain ol' Cadbury cream egg milkshake.
Then we nipped into Frankie & Bennys since we had a long wait until the next showing at the cinema and ate a giant (I mean, size of a pizza base giant) garlic bread with melted cheese, it was delicious and we justified eating it by walking around shops all day.
Then we saw The Sitter at the cinema, which was...okay!

Then I curled up in bed watching trashy teleshopping!
