New Video: My thoughts on John Freida, Victoria Secret, Herbal Essences and Neutrogena products!

Saturday, 13 April 2013

So basically, an empties video! I've used up all of these products and I'm sharing with you a little insight into what I thought of them. If you just can't stand the sound of my voice right now I'll give you a written summary of my thoughts that is super brief:
----------
John Freida Sheer Blonde Shampoo - Lightened my hair for eight hours but some people have said causes breakouts around hairline, it hasn't to me but anything with that potential I will steer clear of anyway.
Herbal Essences Fresh Balance Conditioner - It's a fresh conditioner that didn't grease up my hair but I only used a very small amount on the ends, fruity and pleasant fragrance but doesn't knock my socks off as a product.
Avon Cream to Powder Foundation - A cult favorite product, and the first foundation I ever bought and still love.
Tesco Everyday Value Mouthwash - Would be more useful to gargle peppermint tea..
Neutrogena Visibly Clear Face Wipes - Saturated wipe but left an oily residue on my skin that felt uncomfortable because my skin is so oily anyway would recommend only for dry skin types.
Clear Complexion Tablets - Undecided if they make a difference, I've finished my second bottle now (200 tablets) and I'm not blown away by flawless skin.
Victoria Secret Pure Seduction Red Plum and Freesia Shower gel - beautiful scent, super duper sweet and the scent lingers too. The Gel doesn't lather too much, doesn't give me that squeaky clean feel.
Victoria Secret Pure Seduction Red Plum and Freesia Body Scrub - The most wonderful body scrub I've ever used, thick with exfoliates but they dissolve like sugar and don't leave a mess in your shower, same incredible scent.

Or you can watch for yourself!

You smell good!

A good judgement of my 'essential' fragrances are the ones that sit on my desk in my new room away from home. I have other perfumes, but I couldn't take them all, so I have a small handful now which I can now confirm must be my favourites!

So here's what they are:

The purple heart lying on my desk is Loverdose by Diesel. I had a free sample of it and used that until it ran dry. I was then given a full sized bottle for my birthday so you can imagine my excitement! It's a scent I would certainly call a 'night' fragrance because it's quite heavy and rich- but I'm not really someone who changes up my scents that often nor do I have the resources to! But if you are, that's a little FYI- but I tend to wear it all day just because I love it so much. The smell is floral, but not light floral like roses, and it's also sweet. The bottle is so lvoely it's like having a precious gem on my desk! And it has a black spike in the midle of it which is interesting (after taking this picture I then realised that the bottle is meant to sit on it's side and does so nicely, rather than flat on it's back like a beached whale..haha)

The tall pink bottle is a Victoria Secret Fragrance Mist in red plum and freesia. This is really light as a fragrance and while I love it, it doesn't have much staying power so when you go out in the evening it's maybe better to overdose on this one so that it will stay on for a little longer. Is is super super sweet, probably the sweetest fragrance Victoria Secret do in their Body Mists as that is why I chose it! I love sweetie scents.

Then I have Burberry Baby Touch, which is a super light fragrance and to sum it up it smells like babies- but not smelly babies, kind of like that clean baby scent... I hope I don't sound like a creep that goes around sniffing babies! It smells mostly of vanilla and sweetness and the packaging is cute as the base is curved so rocks like a baby toy or something.

The next two are not perfumes but 'mists' the green bottle is good for stress relief, so I spray it on my clothes before exams or on my pillow the night before a nervous day. It smells really lovely as it's mint, mint is one of my favourite fragrances! The purple bottle is only meant for your linen and is meant to help you get to sleep- I havent used it yet because I hardly have problems getting to sleep, I need a zingy spray to help me wake up!

California Gurl...

Wednesday, 14 March 2012

I wasn't lucky enough to visit California myself
but... I'm not complaining because I knew people who were lucky enough to go!
and I got some super duper souvenirs from the U.S OF A!

Woo! Hooray for Macy sales! And Victoria secret, and Bath and Body works- none of which are here in the UK!

First things first, I got a Victoria Secret Red Plum and Freesia body mist, wash and scrub- it smells so sweet, I love it!
A new Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick- I love these so much, and they last a long time. It's one of my favourtie Bronzers and highlights!

A cute striped top from Guess at Macy's - I love me some nautical stripes!

This top might just be the most Barbie-ish shirt I own! Isn't it pretty!?

I got some fun pants from Victoria Secret too- but nobody likes a panty flasher so I'll just give you a close up of the fun fabrics!

I got some pom pom hair bobbles, Milka chocolate and Spearmint de-stress spray (Bath & Body works) too! I didn't do a special close up of the stripy jumper because it wasn't photographing so well- but it was a cute cropped knit nautical jumper from Macy's! (you see a swatch of it in the first picture!)

Maybe my final and most cutest product of the whole stash....

A easter chick hand soap wash!
Isn't she so fancy with her bow?
I want to name her!

Feeling like a very lucky lady indeed! I sure wish I had these shops near me all the time!
