Wednesday, 26 March 2014

I am not proud, but not ashamed enough to not put this up on the itnernet for everyone to see.
But there was a huge hiccup in my brain, and essentially I just stole money from myself, threw it at the internet and lots of beautiful dresses, trousers and jumpers popped out at me. It was quite magical really.

The 8 minutes and 55 seconds are well justified, I manage to cram a lot in!

Just in case you see anything that you just love and have to have it for yourself, here are the links to aaaaalll ASOS goodies in order!- snap 'em up before they're gone!

Summer Dress Daisy Daze

Thursday, 23 January 2014

It's not even a little bit sunny, it's nearly 3pm and I am wearing normal clothes with a dressing own wrapped around me, sat under my duvet, the only horrible thing is having to have my fingers out to type as they always get chilly.
Nonetheless, I love browsing for clothes for a sunnier day, my winter wardrobe is comprehensive and full but my summer wardrobe lacks choice, which is to be expected given the proportion of time in the year that it is appropriate to wear summer clothes versus winter. A little dress caught my eye with its enchanting daisy print and a cute soft white tshirt underneth.

I saw it and it immediately reminded me of Miss Honey from Matilda (the film not the book) as I was certain that she wore something similar with a tshirt underneath a strappy swing dress, but I couldn't find it on Google images so perhaps that was just my imagination.

But it does have that kind of cool, American vibe to it, I think.
I picked the dress up, and put it back, a week later I was still thinking about it, considered ordering it online but was put off by the high postage costs before eventually seeing it in store again and ceasing the daisy day!!!

Now all I need is a wink of sunshine so that I can try it out!

Summer Stripes! - New Look & TK Maxx (Criminal Damage)

Tuesday, 30 April 2013

I am in the process of last-minute holiday shopping, and I came across some pretty little striped things to complete my holiday, and summer wardrobe!

First and best is this super cute tee from TK Maxx, but It's originally from Criminal Damage who do have the off cute thing that I like, sometimes their stuff is slightly too dark for me, but this is an exception. It's blue stripes have little doodles on them to look like waves and the starry sky, with blue sketches on the white stripes showing images of boats and tropical islands, but what really sold it to me was the rope detailing around the neck!
I adore that cute little feature, it's like a sailor bow, or knot and makes it a bit more special.
TK Maxx only had two of these left and they were both in size XL, but this honestly fits me just fine. I wonder if that's why it was in TK Maxx because the sizing is off. I thought if it's a XL I'll just wear it as a dress but it fits very nicely as a tshirt. I know Criminal damage comes up small but I didn't think that small!!

Then next, my computer has done that fun(!) thing where it rotates a picture and I can't rotate it back, but this is a red and white striped vest from the kids section at New Look. This is in the size age 13 and fits really nicely, it doesn't cut under the arm pits, nor is it restricting along the back but it is a little short on the torso. I kind of like that look for summer. It's certainly not a crop top (I do not like that look)

Next I got something mostly for it's humorous factor but partly because of how smug I'd feel if it actually worked. My current highlighter is all but used up and I contemplated getting the Benefit High Beam instead but held off as it's a liquid consistency and I think I'd prefer a powder.

My first impressions are that the shimmer in it is a little too chunky, I prefer highlighters to just have a glimmer to them, rather than being able to distinguish specific bits of glitter.

Who knows, if I love it, I may have found the most perfect dupe!

Throwback Sunday!

Sunday, 8 July 2012

You know those days when everything is just breezy and casual and you don't want to wear a scrap of makeup?
Today was one of those days for me- So here it is!

Bare faced!

I put my hair in a scruffy side-pony because man-alive is it smoking hot outside!

My attire is a striped blue long, baggy shirt from H&M (but I got it from ebay because it's cheaper there!)

black leggings underneth from the kids section at H&M and plain black pumps

For walking around i tied a thin brown belt from forever21 around the waist

Under my blue shirt for modesty sake I wore a white strappy top from New Look

Whew- staying cool and comfortable in the sun!

Floral Thursday

Thursday, 15 March 2012

There's a spring in my step and a smell of springtime in the air!
So today I show you what I'm going to wear!
(hey that rhymes!)

For makeup:
Moisturiser on my cheeks
Primer on my nose, chin and forhead
Concealer under my eyes and under my nose
Well Dressed by Mac on my cheeks
Brown eyeliner on my waterline
Vaseline on my lips
Brow pencil

I wanted to feel fresh so I was wearing really light makeup- and it felt good!
Sometimes it's nice to go almost bare with your makeup!

For clothes:

Shirt: Floral shirt from New Look (But I got it from Red Cross charity shop for £3.50- woo!)
Bottom: I'm wearing a black pencil skirt from H&M- gotta love springtime formal-ish wear and opaque black tights

Jewellery:

Wooden and plastic beaded bracelet duo, also from New Look around 2 years ago!
