Today I went to a family friends wedding, I've had a music note dress on standby for a very long time for this special day and I found a keyboard purse in the ASOS sale to coordinate plus shoes I got from ebay a very long time ago
My outfit breakdown goes like this:
Dress Topshop was £75 but I got it from ebay for £6
Purse ASOS sale was £25 but int he sale it was £12.50
Shoes ebay, not branded and £10
Makeup went a little something like this...
Laura Mercier Moisturising foundation
Bobbi Brown Bronzing brick for abit of shimmer and a MAC matte bronzer to carve out those cheekbones and slim the face
Blusher by MAC in shade Well Dressed
Highlighting powder by MAC in Snowglobe (from the christmas range)
Lipstick by MAC in shade Lovelorn
Lipgloss by MAC in shade Pretty Plush
Eyebrows filled in with Folie eyeshadow by MAC
Eyes went a little like this:
Eye Primer by Bare Escentuals
Eyeshadow all over the eyelid in shade Shroom by MAC
Champagne golden eyeshadow from this fun Bed Head pallette over Shroom
Eyeshadow in shade Folie by Mac in the crease and blended to keep it fresh and pretty
The bottom eyeshadow in the bedhead pallette which is like a paler version of MAC's Mulch goes over the top of Folie to make it a little more shimmery
Use an eyeliner brush and take Folie along the top lashline
Shroom by MAC on the browbone as a highlight
White eyeliner along the waterline I used Fascinating by MAC
Black Mascara mine was from Bare Escentuals
Then finally, a spritz of MAC Fix plus all over the face to keep it on all day!
And all that remainds of the day!
I love keeping my name place settings of the weddings that I go to, just looking at it will reminds me of the colour scheme, theme, setting and the day so I think it deserves a place in the magical scrapbook which is a hobby I am determined to keep!

Throwback Sunday!
Sunday, 8 July 2012
You know those days when everything is just breezy and casual and you don't want to wear a scrap of makeup?
Today was one of those days for me- So here it is!
Bare faced!
I put my hair in a scruffy side-pony because man-alive is it smoking hot outside!
My attire is a striped blue long, baggy shirt from H&M (but I got it from ebay because it's cheaper there!)
black leggings underneth from the kids section at H&M and plain black pumps
For walking around i tied a thin brown belt from forever21 around the waist
Under my blue shirt for modesty sake I wore a white strappy top from New Look
Whew- staying cool and comfortable in the sun!

Just call me Babysitter!
Sunday, 1 July 2012
What cool crazy and wild-child things do I get up to on a Sunday?
Babysitting is the answer!
It was not crazy, or particularly cool and was actually kind of dull!
I think I prefer babysitting when the baby is in bed, because then it's more just a case of 'sitting' haha!
Here's a little looky at my babysitting attire and (lack of) makeup!
Cupcake bag! It's from ebay but it's for kiddies hence the eeny weeny size of it
My favourite mint jeans from H&M and white matching pumps from Next
Pink Slush Puppy hoodie from truffleshuffle.com but it really old so I don't know if they sell it anymore but maybe someone is selling one on ebay!
Living it up on a Sunday woop woop!

Why ebay can be ris-kay (but why it's mostly worth it)
Tuesday, 26 June 2012
So I buy a lot from ebay and this is why
1.It's quick
2.It's easy
3.Everything is in one place
4.Paypal always favours the buyer and makes sure the buyer is satisfied
So what's the pitfalls?
1.You don't get to see the stuff in real and there are sellers who will photoshop items to make them look better, brighter etc AND there's sellers who just google image their item and get a stock photo, this is not such a problem if you're buying new items, but it won't be accurate if you're buying something second hand
2. Stuff can take a long time to arrive (especially from Grand ol' China)
3. Essentially you are bidding on someone elses junk, that has been stored probably behind a radiator, or in that cupboard that always smells musty
4.You're buying from people who probably have other jobs and so don't operate as effectively a website run by people whose full time job is to answer to your emails and post your products
My ebay catastrophes:
I paid £40 for a dress only to recieve it with chocolate stains all down the skirt!
I've bought more books than I can count described as 'good' condition that when they arrive tell a very different story (think torn covers and musky pages)
A fake Hello Kitty purse- fake hello kitty?! Are you kidding me?
Linen trousers that arrived after my holiday
Those are all I can think of on the top of my head, and for about 200 transactions to date, I'd say that's not so bad at all.
So here they are, my words of advice:
-If you're selling, always post recorded within your country because otherwise the buyer can recieve the item but tell Paypal it's got lost in the post and Paypal will swipe that money from your account faster than you can say 'Liar liar pants on fire'
-Do not expect products brand new with tags (especially designer) items to be genuine, the best you can do is hope that they are. This can be everything from Gucci, Louis Vuitton to fake MAC Makeup, wedding dresses, perfume and even fake Hello Kitty!
The way to get around this is to be wary of a person selling multiple of the same brand new D&G handbag for instance.
Who has ten identical 'brand new with tags' designer bags stored in a cupboard?
Fraudsters importing them from China, that's who.
Usually if a Ralph Lauren Jumper or Ted Baker dress is listed on ebay as brand new and the photo looks like it was taken by Sally down the road rather than a super-professional photo then it's probably genuine.
But even better still is if the designer item is used, as this is likely to be a individual seller rather than a business ebayer and probably genuinely has been put on ebay due to a closet clear out and selling of some pre-loved goodies
-China is the top importer of fake goodies into ebay, this is no big deal if buying general bits and pieces but labelled and designer goods are almost certainly fake. This can include GHD flat irons, ugg boots and prom dresses. If you want to risk it check their return policy, feedback and if you have a good eye for fakes then you can always send it back and get a refund (remember how paypal always want to rescue the buyer and will take your word for it in most instances)
-Pay by Paypal, it is your best friend and will make sure that you (the buyer) is always covered, Paypal will always give the buyer the benefit of the doubt! But if you're selling be aware that paypal and ebay take a portion of the profits
I leave you, with a bit of ebay info from the inside! (click it to make it bigger!)

Stars in my eyes!
Friday, 20 April 2012
Galaxy and space prints have been popular for a while now.
What's great about them is that lot's of the colours in the galaxy and outer space are pastel coloured which makes them bang on trend for this Spring, but the mixture of silky fabrics and inky blues for the night sky dress up pastel colours to stop them looking too innocent and day time and to jazzle it up a little!
Here's my favourite galaxy products:
If you're snazzy with a sewing machine you can craft something beautiful from this, I kind of fancy a fabric cuff from this beautiful stuff! Available from here

These leggings are so fun and delicious! They're from Blackmilkclothing.com, Black Milk sells amazing clothing but it's pretty much all the stuff of dreams for me so I just browse and drool!
This top is so fun and perfect with some casual shorts and little booties andd... it's much more purse friendly at £9.95 from here good ol' eBay!
If you're not into the colours in galaxy prints then maybe these are your thing, they sure are mine!
Mostly because they GLOW IN THE DARK!

These would be so fun on a night out, and it's a sure way to have everyone looking at your pegs!

Orr..... if you hate everything here and think stars belong in the sky and not on clothes then you just might love love love one of my favourite Apps to date 'Star Walk'
It's incredibly beautiful, and it shows you the stars above you, it gives you facts and incredible 'pictures of the day' from our universe; minus the complex language and scary astronomy chat.
It's relaxing to look at before I fall asleep. It makes me feel a lot of wonderment and is grounding to realise how immensely huge the universe is; it's a comfort not to worry about the little things and let them deal with themselves in a world as big as ours.
P.S Remember tomorrow is Earth Day and Origins are giving away free products! Check my post on April 1st for more details!

Fancy Dress Dilemma...
Friday, 17 February 2012
So it's that time when my favourite kind of party has come around and that is fancy dress or 'costume parties' as I hear they're called in the U.S
I love them so much because there's no pressure to look a certain way, you can literally dress like anything you want, you can look silly, colourful, ridiculous and no one will be rude or mean about you behind your back, they just think 'what a fun costume!'
In the past I've gone as many many many different variations of a Sailor Girl, I had (still do) a big crush on nautical fashion that I've just never grown out of! Spongebob Squarepants, Alice in Wonderland, Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz it goes on...
But I'm here to show you my most recent favourites and amazingly outstanding incredible new fun designs
(which you can often get for the half the price on ebay fyi... I've never paid more than £20 for a costume from there)
Katy Perry Sweetie costume! This is my absolute favourite! I love the ice creams on the bodice and the tutu rainbow layers!
or...

A bubble gum machine!!! I could pop bubbles all night, and hand them out too!

Or maybe a giant pink crayon, haha! This one made me laugh the most although I would wear pink shoes, not those shiny black boots...
They have so many cute and fun novelty costumes at:
www.spirithalloween.com It's good to go for inspiration first, then to try and find a cheaper alternative elsewhere.
So what do you guys think? Maybe you hate them all, maybe I won't even be able to find these crazy creations on ebay , but this site has the best selection of costumes I ever saw! Let me know what you guys think would be the best, or maybe a whole other costume all together!

Deliciousness wrapped in ribbon
Thursday, 26 January 2012
I spent the last night or so wrapping up my latest and most fun creations yet! Every vest I make is my new favourite, I love trying to put lots of colours on each vest so that they'll match every shade of belt, bangle or bracelet. These are the new ones of this month:
I got tons of Hello Kitty, Soft strawberries, Harajuku girls, Hello Kitty bows, Peppermint candies! And of course, lots and lots of rainbow ribbon hanging off!
Check out my store http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/alexias_closettt/m.html?item=320828592214&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649&_trksid=p4340.l2562
I ship worldwide and do custom creations!

Why today has been wonderfully lucky...
Monday, 23 January 2012
1.My beautiful patches from the other side of the world arrived! In an envelope covered with exotic stamps, here's a little peek of the patches!
Expect to see lots of wonderful Hello Kitty and Harajuku designs up soon, meanwhile, you can see the current treats I have for sale here:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/alexias_closettt/m.html?item=320828592214&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649&_trksid=p4340.l2562
2. I was able to rescue my videos from my camera!
3. While editing, I saved my video for the first time once it was nearly all edited and then thirty seconds later the software crashed!
4. Some footage that wasn't importing correctly suddenly decided to import correctly once the programme had crashed.
5. My friend has leant me the book 'One day' which I'm really excited to read although I've heard mixed thoughts- some people love it, others have said it's mediocre, I'm not sure where my thoughts are on this one!
