Jazzy Jumpers

Friday, 5 October 2012

I don't really know why but I always prefer my autumn/winter clothes over my summer ones, I think they are just more fun- perhaps it's because we have such long autumns and winters and a really short summer so I invest much more time into looking for wonderful winter clothes that will get much more use

These are my two most recent treasures! I love them so much

this is a pink knitted jumper with teddy bear print. It has purple buttons running along the shoulder which is very cute- and better still it has NO LABELS! Which leads me to believe that it was hand made by some nifty knitter and maybe is a one of a kind!

The next one is sooooo seventies I love it, It has a fabric clown holding balloons- since it was just my birthday, it reminded me of a birthday jumper, but if only I had found it in time for my birthday... ah well, it's still super cute to wear on a regular day too

Do you like fun knit jumpers too? Or would wearing these make you feel like a Kindergarden teacher?

The funnest jumper ever!

It only seemed right that I had a little down time after all this intensity of schooling, and i for sure felt I got the most out of my day, we headed to East Algate to go to a fab vintage fair where I picked up the cutest jumper with pictures of makeup and perfume on it.

Then we went to a huge shop called 'Beyond Retro' which was stacked to the high heavens with retro sweaters, and dresses and tops and aprons and cowboy boots!

Then just around the corner we had out photo taken in the booth of music store Rough Trade

By some sort of chance we ended up in Angel and had the most amazing Mexican food, it was the same set up as a Subway, where it is made before your eyes and it tasted so, so good!
With our energy revived we went onto Oxford Street but was overwhelmed by the aggresive shoppers in the Topshop sale and had more luck picking up cute things in H&M.

I got a trusty black cardigan, and a mint tee for about £4

By the end of the day I also had a lipstick from MAC in shade 'Pervette' a lipgloss in 'Pretty plush' and a bronzer in 'Matte Bronze'

Whew, by the time I got home my feet were throbbing as though I had been doing star jumps in heels all day long!

♫ ♫ It was acceptable at the time! ♫ ♫

Okay, so my jewellery doesn't fall into the retro catagory yet, but judging by what I found I think it will only take another decade or so!

Since I moved house I have only unpacked the 'essential' bits of jewellery and just bought new bits since I've lived here, but last night I suddenly remembered that I had some earrings that were still packed up and wanted to get them out.
So after a lot of hunting, and cutting through various layers of newspaper and sellotape to hold my jewellery box together I found some beauties and some hideous-ies

I'm not sure what catagory some of them fall into so I'll show you and you can decide!

A Spongebob Squarepants locket, it came from Clairs Accesories I believe

I love this fun bow earring! I would never wear them as a  pair though as I thought that was too much going on with my head!

These are giant, like the gem is the size of a 5p coin, I liked them because they reminded me of cherry gum drops or wine gums and I kind of wanted to eat them up!

These were a present but I always thought they were cute, I used to think it would be a cool idea to get five holes pierced in my ears and have my name spelt out on my ear...er....yeah...that would have been 'super stylish' I'm sure...

And finally! My amazing charm bracelet I found! My sister got it for me and for birthdays and christmasses would get me a few more charms to add onto it. I forgot I had it so I wore it today and lots of people commented on even though it was old, it was still 'so me' I don' know if that's really a compliment through, my favourite charm is the chocolate bar on the end, I love that one!

What's your favourite?
