You don't need to tell me how crazy and wild my Summer holidays are, I already know for myself.
Today I had a stitch itch that needed to be scratched, I pulled out my iron on patch collection (I bet you didn't know I had one of them, I'm getting cooler by the minute) and cut some ribbon, thought of a colour scheme in my head and got sewing!
I of course have a big supply of Hello Kitty patches that I love to use, this one has two fabric hearts, a pink Hello Kitty Bow, Pink Hello Kitty in a sailor outfit and finally a trio of hearts holding in girly coloured strands of ribbons.
The second one is focused on Gwen Stefani Harajuku L.A.M.B with a rainbow, harajuku lovers girl 'G', a heart trio and some rainbow ribbons trailing behind the hearts.
I've been making these style of vests for a while and I always want to keep them for myself, but more often than not I know that I do not need another variation of a black vest top.
I got my black vest tops from a different supplier this time so they are much smaller only fitting a size 6/8 so it turns out that I couldn't keep them even if I wanted to!

Bow-Tiful!

This is how it goes down:
Take a plain dress (this works with vest tops, jumpers and
tshirts too) in a pretty colour
And an assortment of bows, I have seven in lots of nice
colours- I love pastel colours, you can make them yourself with leftover ribbon
or buy them from ebay or craft shops
Lay the bows out on the dress and put them where you think
works, make sure you don’t have two colours together that are too ‘samey’
You can pin the bows down where you like them, or just go
straight into sewing them on
Take a length of white thread about 15-20cm and knot one end, then thread the other end through the eye of a sewing needle

Each bow takes out 4 simple hand stitches to secure them,
then knot them at the back, and go onto the next bow
Then there you have it, a simple bow dress that takes all of
twenty minutes but makes you look as pretty as a wrapped birthday present!New online shopping frenzy!

I know for sure you've heard of Ebay, and if you've been reading my blog for some time you've probably heard me talk about Etsy but Storenvy is the new kid on the block for lots of at home crafters to sell their goods online.
So.. what makes it different to all the others?
-The people at Storenvy have tried to combine shopping and social networking to create this site, maybe this makes your heart sing, but the thought of another type of social network makes my head spin..tooo..many...usernames...!
- NO SELLER FEES woohoo! Unlike Etsy and Ebay who charge for listing and then take a chunk of the profits, these guys let you keep your hard earned cash
- It's little! At this point they are just reaching their 20,000th store opening, a whole lot less than Etsy and Ebay... smaller sites mean less competition on goods made for crafters!
Bad things...
- They encourage me to use Facebook to log in, I don't like connecting my facebook to other websites
-It's all priced in dollars! I'm a GBP gal
I recently purchased these Confetti tights by Sweetie Cakes Shop...
Awesome though they may be they took over a month to arrive... now Summers gone with it, and so has the pastel trend...ah well

Okay, so my jewellery doesn't fall into the retro catagory yet, but judging by what I found I think it will only take another decade or so!
Since I moved house I have only unpacked the 'essential' bits of jewellery and just bought new bits since I've lived here, but last night I suddenly remembered that I had some earrings that were still packed up and wanted to get them out.
So after a lot of hunting, and cutting through various layers of newspaper and sellotape to hold my jewellery box together I found some beauties and some hideous-ies
I'm not sure what catagory some of them fall into so I'll show you and you can decide!
I love this fun bow earring! I would never wear them as a pair though as I thought that was too much going on with my head!
These are giant, like the gem is the size of a 5p coin, I liked them because they reminded me of cherry gum drops or wine gums and I kind of wanted to eat them up!
These were a present but I always thought they were cute, I used to think it would be a cool idea to get five holes pierced in my ears and have my name spelt out on my ear...er....yeah...that would have been 'super stylish' I'm sure...

A Spongebob Squarepants locket, it came from Clairs Accesories I believe

And finally! My amazing charm bracelet I found! My sister got it for me and for birthdays and christmasses would get me a few more charms to add onto it. I forgot I had it so I wore it today and lots of people commented on even though it was old, it was still 'so me' I don' know if that's really a compliment through, my favourite charm is the chocolate bar on the end, I love that one!
What's your favourite?
