Yippee it's Easter- but it's also the end of the month which is bad because:
1. the clocks go foward (or is it back?) today so there's less time in bed this morning
but good because:
2. the evenings are lighter!
and also good because:
3. It's the season finale of Walking Dead tonight
which may seem bad because there are then no more episodes butttt, it's okay because:
4. Tomorrow is the first episode of the new season 3 Game of Thrones!
It's also good because it means that Spring should technically be here- which I suppose technically it is, but It doesn't feel like it especially, the sun is kind of shining today, but then mostly hiding away behind clouds.
This morning my mum hid my eggs (Hello Kitty and Cadbury Cream egg) for me in all sorts of imaginative places such as the tv cabinet, a cupboard, a wardrobe. By this time I was already dressed in my Easter outfit:
Rainbow jumper from H&M for £10!
Navy Blue jeans from Select
Hello Kitty socks from H&M but they are olddddd stock
I was supposed to be wearing something much brighter and more pastel, it was an outfit I had brought home especially to wear for Easter, but it was too chilly!
I did very natural makeup and I could tell you that I left my hair natural on purpose, but actually time got away from me and I was running late for the Easter church service, so I sped along to their and thankfully the damp ends and back of my hair air dried on the way, although it did look a bit frizzy but I suppose that doesn't matter at Church.
When I got home around 2:30-3:00 my mum had made a beauuuuutiful roast dinner. It was wonderful, I forget to take my phone down to dinner most of the time so I didn't get to take a picture, but I suppose you probably know what a roast dinner looks like. Then for dessert we had brownies which were still warm from the oven and gooey in the middle.
I was quite impressed that my eggs hadn't been touched all day - when I was younger Easter was the only day that we could eat as much chocolate as we wanted and I took advantage of that - but then about half ten I gave in to the Cadbury egg and ate half!
On a completely different note, today my little YouTube page got it's very first banner!

This post seems like it should be an April Fools post, whereas actually- it's just my embaressing real life!
For Easter I got what looked like a box of eggs- I actually said 'are they real?' 'They look like real eggs!' But after being convinced that they are not real and just amazing sugar art I kept them for a while to look at.
Today (or what felt like today but was actually yesterday since it's gone midnight) around half 4 I thought, well maybe I'll have one.
So I smell the shell and think 'is this really all sugary?' and it sure smelt like it was! It smelt of chocolate.
I bite into the shell and think oo.. this isn't chocolate, it must be solid sugar, like on those mini eggs that Cadbury sell...
The funny thing is it tasted good, because the chocoalate inside was so amazingly delicious.
About twenty minutes after having pigged out I start to feel like a cactus is doing cartwheels in my belly- it just felt so dang spikey, pretty much as soon as the pain came on, I knew I'd made a horrible, horrible mistake.
I checked the internet but it wasn't much good as it only referred to eating little bits in your scrambled egg, I'd eaten almost an entire shell!
After 2 and a half hours of a persistant and spikey stomach ache I call my friend who's a nurse who told me to call the NHS helpline- the first nurse I had was not very kind and sort of spoke to me like I was stupid (which I suppose I kind of am)
The second nurse was much nicer and very sympathetic, but told me that I would be fine and that it will just give me a stomach ache as my stomach doesn't like digesting it very much (I don't blame it!)
And that was the story of me and my unhappy egg.
I know I should have known, but I've never in my life seen real eggs filled with chocolate before- but they came from France, so maybe it's a french tradition. On closer inspection I see there's a hole in the bottom of the egg where I guess the actual egg was poured out and chocolate poured in; but I didn't think of any of this at the time!
Oh-well! Better luck next time for me!

Easter Sunday
Sunday, 8 April 2012
I would have loved to have had a lovely and relaxing day today with everyone
but...
I have to work- boo
But never mind because I still got to find that I had been accidentally bought an identical Easter egg - THREE times! (from three different people)
I'm not complaining though, who wouldn't love three sprinkly hello kitty eggs staring back at them?
Another pretty sight I saw was this:
I love the sky colours, and the sun breaking through the back!
It's such a nice way to brighten up what was a giant panel of plain ol' wood (and by giant I mean bigger than me!)
At christmas it had the silhouette of the three wise men on camels, and now it's suddenly changed to this! I'm not sure who does it, as it's right outside my house I've never seen anyone spray painting on it, maybe it's a mysterious Banksy- haha
Easter hugs from baby and mama hello kitty/bunny!

I'm kind of sad the bow dropped off the middle one but it's still in one piece inside the box!

Sister, Sister
Saturday, 24 March 2012
Today was my sisters birthday, so we drove on down to see my sister!
I love spending days with my sissy! It's not like when we were younger and would get to see each other every day! We had a fun day of shopping and picking a pretty dress for her to wear to a wedding, and then we ate lunch at one of our favourites 'Cafe Rouge'
I love wonderful and sunny Saturdays, and Birthdays!!
One & only and favourite sissy! (She had not been awake long when I arrived and as you can tell, less amused by a camera lens in her face) |
You are never too old for a Colin Catterpillar cake! |
Just wanted to show you these lil' chicks in the mail this morning! They made me laugh so much, the one in the middle on the floor looks as though he went through some real trauma in the post! |

First bloom of Spring!
Thursday, 22 March 2012
I'm very relieved to be able to finally upload my first makeup tutorial for spring.
It's very beautiful and understated- and blue is one of the freshest colours that there is (except for maybe a lime green)
So we most definately should put it on our eyes to signify the new season.
I especially love this look for the afternoon/evening- garden parties and Spring Flings and all other shenanigans that one might get up to on Spring nights!
Let me know if you'll 'dare to wear' a blue eye this Spring- even if you wear blue all the time!

Bits & Bobs for Mothers Day and Easter!
Saturday, 17 March 2012
Here's a lil' (albeit very pixelated) peek at what I picked up today for Easter, Mothers Day and a few practical pieces for me.
Along the top, you can see 3 little easter eggs- they are so fun! I love the Mr potato head one because it has all the chocolate facial features.
I love the pink chocolate on the Percy Pig egg and the millions of sprinkles that make up Hello Kitty's dress! They came from Marks and Spencers and were £6 each or 3 for the price of 2!
Other little easter treats include:
2 bags of mini kinder eggs
2 packets of Malteaser rabbits
3 Lindt gold bunny rabbits
and something so yummy it deserves it's own picture:
A bath bomb from Lush in the shape of an egg! It's scented the same as Snow Fairy, which is my sisters favourite fragrance so I'm excited to give this to her!
and I got a dragon soap to celebrate Chinese New Year- it's fragrance is Karma and it's coated in gold dust, but it's a present so I don't want to unpackage it!
Other practical things I got:
Batisee dry shampoo in fragrance Original
Another bottle of Simple light facial moisturiser
Cupcake and Polka dot folders!
And finally...
The packet under the aerosal is kind of a 'jokey' Mothers day present to go alongside her actual one. It's a kit to make a vase of roses out of foam!
It's meant for little chidren to give their mums I think- but it will be cute because they'll never die like real flowers!
The best part? It cost £2 from Morrisons!!!
Here's how I make them:
