New Video: Grungy 'slept in' eyeliner makeup tutorial!

Thursday, 12 December 2013

Not living the 'Rock and Roll' lifestyle but wish that you were?
Want it to look like you were out partying all night with a glass of low inhibitions?
Girls, wish that you could wear 'the walk of shame' every day?

If that sounds like you, then why not try the grungy eye makeup look!

For whatever reason, this look has really caught on so I thought that I would share it with you guys

I created a video that teaches you how to master that in under a minute!

I am more a fan of 'polished' looks myself, but I figured that there is no harm in trying new things and sharing new tips and trick with you.

I used Macs eyeliner in 'Smoulder' which is a really smudgy formula so pretty much ideal for this kind of thing- I thought I would mix it up a little this week to take a little break from all my glitzy gold holiday makeup tutorials!

New video: Kim Kardashian Golden Beauty Makeup Tutorial

Saturday, 25 May 2013

Woooo it's new video time! I always feel under pressure when I have to film edit and upload on the same day, which I had to do today. I put new videos around the Thursday-Saturday mark but no later than Saturday, and I just made the cut as this uploaded at approximately 11pm UK time.
I hope you love it!
It's a beautiful golden look using the Urban Decay naked palettes, I even use a shadow wet- hows that for mixing things up a little?

This was the picture that I used for reference:

And here I am desperately trying to imitate the glamour!

Here's the video...

Enjoy!

This is what happens when I go out for milk and bread...

Tuesday, 7 May 2013

I went with my friend just to nip to the local supermarket, I decided to pick up some essentials, milk bread and maybe some fruit for a smoothie.

We ended up heading into New Look so that I could give my creative opinion on a shirt to go with a blouse that she already owned.
It all started when I saw some slouchy jeans on sale for £15, I love this fit of jean and have been looking for a great pair!
(Try as I might to get the picture to go the right way, it's just not happening for this so I'l show you how it failed and I'll show you a picture from the website)

Okay, lets pretend that didn't happen and now look at the nice fancy photo from the website:

The I saw the most magical fun playsuit that I decided I may aswell try on.
(And the picture didn't work out... So I'll have to show you the nice stock photo aswell)

Then some white shoes, that I decided would be super comfy and go with 'everything' plus they were only £10

Until we ended up in the jewellery section and I couldn't hold any more so had to go back to the entrance to grab a basket.
I came away with two rings that just look like a party on my hands, and then a more elegant ring too.

Even though it was unexpected I feel as though I have filled some large gaps in my wardrobe so I'm happy! And I haven't taken the bow rings off since I purchased them!

New Video! Neutral Weekend!

Friday, 16 November 2012

If there's anything more fun than filming a video once, it's refilming and editing another two times!

I'm just joking
it made me want to rip my own hair out and snap the memory card in half
but thankfully I didn't
and the once time that the video was actually functioning I quickly rushed to get it uploaded before something went wrong again

So although early, but better early than never at all:
Nearly Naked Makeup Tutorial!

Very pretty look that is kind of my 'everyday' look, especially on the days where I'm feeling less colourful.
I use the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette and a fluffy brush, smaller tipped brush, angled eyeshadow brush and a blending brush but of course you can use dupes of all my tools and eyeshadows.
I hope you enjoy it!

P.S Turn your volume up because my voice was on it's way out when I filmed the first part of this video.

Vampy Vogue

Sunday, 21 October 2012

For my birthday I was given this months issue of Vogue which is totally fun and a complete luxury, I have stacks of Vogues back in my bedroom at home from years ago, I was always so tempted to cut them up and put them into scrapbooks and such but always resisted because I wanted them to be as pristine as possible while still being able to actually read them.

This is the first issue I'd had to call my own in a long while and I was struck by the cover, while Vogue is primarily all about the clothes, the makeup on Kristen Stewart (Who to me will always be Bella Swan regardless of any other role she may play in any other film) was what caught my attention.

Striking is one word for it, tired would be another.

I just don't see why she seems to get a kick out of looking tired.

I loev copper looks as much as anyone, hell I've got several pallettes full of bronzes and copper eyeshadows and I'm not criticising the artistry, it's just all very vampy, even the high dracula collar on her dress and the blood stained lips.

I don't know, I find it all very irritating...

I don't want to make this some long and negative blog post because I raelly do like the vampy look, maybe not every single day, but blood red lips and copper tone eyes are one sure way to up the seriousness on your look, remember when using bright red lipstick to line the lips first to keep it looking crisp and neat.

Espresso Eyes

Thursday, 12 July 2012

Chocolatey browns and Golden creams- the makeup look inspired by a Starbucks!

If you like this look then today is your lucky day because here is all nine steps that I did this morning!

1.Primed my eyes using Bare Escentuals eye primer
2.Coated the whole eyelid in a creamy white shadow 'Shroom' by MAC
3.From the outer corner I dolloped my versatile dark brown 'Folie' by MAC and swished it back and fourth in the crease
4.I used a taupey-grey colour, I can't remember what one! and blended that back and fourth over Folie, only use a little amount, we want to look to be mostly that lovely warm brown rather than a cool grey
5. Using the Folie eyeshadow and taking a thin eyeliner brush i run that along the upper lash line and half way along the lower- this way it's not as harsh as liquid liner and fits in with a 'smokey' look.
6. On the browbone to make a crisp contrast I uses Loreal Color Infaillable in shade 001 Time Resist White
7. Using a brow brush and and an eyeshadow in shade 'Folie' from Mac I run the colour through my brows lightly, and slowly builing up the shape and thickness I'd like
8. I used a white eyeliner pencil on my waterline to my my eyes look bigger, I used 'Fascinating' from MAC
9. I finished off with a few layers of Bare Escentuals black mascara

Done and done!
Espresso, daytime look deliciousness!

Sunday Blues? Nuh-uh! Sunday Greens!

Sunday, 22 April 2012

I wanted to try out my new vegan makeup from Madison Street Beauty and pulled together this fresh and light green look. It's very subtle and daytime. And as usual super duper easy.
Here's the breakdown of what it took:

Once you've applied primer to your eyelids, start off by applying a light coral-y shade all over your eyelid, I used Opal by MSB (Madison Street Beauty)
Then a bright matte green on the outer corner, this is Shamrock by MSB and blend the centre of your eyelid to look like a gradient from coral to green.

Right on the outer corner do a little dab of a rich, sparkly green- I used Enchanted Forest by MSB

Blend the sparkly green into the crease and be sure not to muddy the grandient from the matte green to coral
Apply a brown eyeliner as close as you to the lashline so that it is just a thin, almost unnoticeable line but it will still make your lashline look thicker. Bring the brown eyeliner down to the waterline.

Use a highlight colour on the browbone, I used Stardust by MSB and then you're done!

Quick breakdown of the rest of the face:
Eye Primer: Painterly by MAC
Blusher: Desert Rose MAC
Bronzer: Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick
Lips: Elemis chapstick
Highlighter: Snowglobe by MAC

First bloom of Spring!

Thursday, 22 March 2012

I'm very relieved to be able to finally upload my first makeup tutorial for spring.
It's very beautiful and understated- and blue is one of the freshest colours that there is (except for maybe a lime green)
So we most definately should put it on our eyes to signify the new season.

I especially love this look for the afternoon/evening- garden parties and Spring Flings and all other shenanigans that one might get up to on Spring nights!

Let me know if you'll 'dare to wear' a blue eye this Spring- even if you wear blue all the time!
