You don't need to tell me how crazy and wild my Summer holidays are, I already know for myself.
Today I had a stitch itch that needed to be scratched, I pulled out my iron on patch collection (I bet you didn't know I had one of them, I'm getting cooler by the minute) and cut some ribbon, thought of a colour scheme in my head and got sewing!
I of course have a big supply of Hello Kitty patches that I love to use, this one has two fabric hearts, a pink Hello Kitty Bow, Pink Hello Kitty in a sailor outfit and finally a trio of hearts holding in girly coloured strands of ribbons.
The second one is focused on Gwen Stefani Harajuku L.A.M.B with a rainbow, harajuku lovers girl 'G', a heart trio and some rainbow ribbons trailing behind the hearts.
I've been making these style of vests for a while and I always want to keep them for myself, but more often than not I know that I do not need another variation of a black vest top.
I got my black vest tops from a different supplier this time so they are much smaller only fitting a size 6/8 so it turns out that I couldn't keep them even if I wanted to!

It's nearly Valentines day!

As preparation for the most loving day of the year some might say.. I stayed in and baked pink strawberry butter cookies!
It was a pre-made kid for children I think so it wasn't really me doing any of the hard work, but I got the kit for christmas and thought that this was the perfect time to put it to use!
It came with the most beautiful heart shaped and hello kitty shaped cutter
but... the cooking instructions were in German which was...interesting to say the least, a little later on we found the English translation and luckily our interpretation skills were correct and we'd followed all the instructions perfectly.
The strawberry dough tasted pretty delicious raw, and we were all totally amazed at how when you added the egg, the flour went from white to a pretty pastel pink!
We ended up making about 4 batches out of that little amount of dough, it was crazy! I had to get an army of friends to help stick on the embellishments (sugar paper bows and kitty faces) I think in total there were probably about 60 cookies to go around and they were sooo supoer sweet and delicious, even the icing was strawberry!
I wish I could share them with you because it's going to be a struggle to get through 60 all by myself!

Hey Kitty!
Wednesday, 16 January 2013
I have three sparkling to additions to my Hello Kitty family that I thought I would share with you!
Aren't they beautiful! Like triplet sisters or something
So we've got new cupcake rainbow kitty!
I don't know if that is her proper name but she's basically dressed like a rainbow, with a sweet cupcake treat that is all squishy, I love her!
Then I have ballet Kitty!
The best part is hands down her tutu but I wish that she had a wand too
and thennn.....
the gem in the crown is my heart Japan Kitty
She's in a beautiful little nursey outfit and I think this came out to raise money for the natural disaster in Japan last year which makes it a little bit more special!
They all say hi!
And are sitting safely with Giant mama kitty!

Getting cosy!
Thursday, 20 December 2012
I have just about made these two cosy 'must haves' my absolute best friends since it's getting colder.
One of them has made a special guest appearance in my most recent video:
The other one is a newbie!
They are my Honey Bear hoodie from the David and Goliath shop, it even has fluffy, fleecy ears on the hood, and when I put my hands in the pockets it looks like I'm holding a honey jar! (the picture of me in it does not do it much justice)
It's super duper cosy and they sell them right now!!!
my #2 cosy must have is this thermal cup, I have another thermal cup but it had a silcone hand protector that I got from TK Maxx but the silicone has stretched and worn out over the past year which means that my hands get burneeeed!
Not any more!
A belated birthday present was a brand new hot beverage cup so I am happy happy! I even use this when I'm at home because I often move from room to room before I've finished my hot drink.
If the world really does end tomorrow, I may aswell be cosy!

Saturday, 1 December 2012
It's the first day that we can finally pop open the window on your advent calendars yay yay yay!
My mum sent me up an advent calendar from home!
Awhh mums..

I got a little chocolatey treat, and then I came hom after my maths test and ate a bacon sandwich..oops
If you didn't get a chocoalte advent calendar treat this morning, or a calendar of any kind then I give you the gift of a new video instead!
It's super short because no one likes a rambler.
I'm getting into the swing of this 'uploading every week' malarky!

So I'd been in need of some 'slouchy' trainer type shoesies for a while, for times when pumps are not appropriate and you need something a little more sturdy, but for times when also your jogging shoes would look completely ridiculous!
Well, I give myself a clothing problem, so I give myself the cutest solution... so may I present to you...
My NEW Hello Kitty Vans!
I got them from the store Schuh, they sell them in white too, but in white the Hello Kitties were not coloured in all fun and bright.
Also, I'm glad I didn't get white because I have only worn these bad boys once and they already look a little grubby!
I wish I'd taken a picture of them fresh from the box!
Which reminds me... aside from having new shoes, isn't the 'new shoe smell' the best part of having them!! Or is that just me??

Hold on hoarder!

About a month ago my favourite keychain ever broke, it had a red base that contained candies (long gone now of course) then the clear part in the top held a teeny little hello kitty. I loved that the keychain itself was giant, I think it wasn't actually meant to be a keychain, but it was chunky which made it super easy to find in my bag, I hardly ever had to really 'look' for my keys as the plastic keychain usually found me first! The next greatest part is the little pink hook that connects the keyring to the keys, its super duper easy so no more breaking and hurting your nails to try and slide on the keychain.
I was babysitting and the baby I was sitting took an extra special liking to my keyring, before I knew it the keyring had been crushed by little hands trying to pry out the (once stuck down) hello kitty in the clear part. That was it, plastic and broken beyond repair but I kept hanging on to it, and using it, and everytime I looked at it I'd remmeber it had broken and feel a bit sad that I don't know where it came from to get another. But that's the thing with people, we like to hold onto broken things in the hope that they will fix themselves, this doesn't do us much good at all really.
So I introduce to you, the new beginning of my keys, they're fun, chunky and much more 'crushing' proof, also a little pen is hidden inside kitty herself, so now I always have a pen on the go!
Out with the old, and in the new!

Hello Kitty: Sweet Collection Perfume
Sunday, 12 August 2012
I got a special little treat to share with you, courtesy of my globe trotting sister who got me a fun souvenir from the Duty Free on the way back from her holidays!
They are this beautiful Hello Kitty 'sweet collection' perfume, and oh the packing is such a delight!
The boxes do not lie, the scent truly is yummy, to me it smells a lot like fruit and sweeties but according to the official 'scent-people' the scent includes:
Sweety apples with drops of green apple
Flowers of cherry trees
Pulped Jasmine petals
Coco balls
Sweet pralines
Drops of musk powder
Vanilla syrup
Candy Sugar
The bottles look so perfect lined up together, I want to keep them together!
Trying to show you a close up of the bottles, it looks like hello kitty is eyeless accroding to this photo, but she has facial features I assure you!
The little travel stamp to show you guys that I think you can only get them on planes and things, rather than in your regular shop, plus doesn't kitties pilot attire look so adorable!?

Hello Kitty & Dear Daniel Wedding Plushes!
Thursday, 9 August 2012
I was gifted two Hello Kitty plushies that were part of a McDonalds 'gift' programme in Japan 2000!
They are still in their bags and I just can't take them out, they look so perfect and pristine in them, but maybe I've always been a bit weird with tags, I try to keep the tags on everything for as long as possible because I think it makes items look 'fresh' which is so silly I know,
Anywho, here is the beautiful 'Dream Wedding' set!
Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel
To see their attire in it's full glory I googled a picture of them!
I love Dear Daniels tufty hair and how his hankerchief in his pocket is embellished with McDonalds M's and Kitties matching felty head piece and bouquet!
I just love them, they are so special and lovely!

Tan-o-phobe!
Friday, 4 May 2012
Since I've been born I've been branded a milky-white-vanilla-popsicle-snow-white sort of person, and this never really bothered me. I'm just not a 'tanning' sort of person- Big deal
Well it only started to bug me when I'd buy fake tan to look 'glowy and healthy' in the summer and not one of them took to my skin!
I tried L'oreal and Johnsons both of which I know lots of people love and swear by, but all it did to me was make my skin horribly greasy with lotion that didn't absorb in over night and a horrible fake tan smell with no fake tan!
I'd all but given up but was tempted by St Tropez mousse.
A mousse sounds good to me, less oily
AND! According to the label the classic 'fake tan' smell is almost non existant (but labels say a lot of things so I'll have to get back to you)
What didn't sound good to me was the £17 price tag from www.feelunique.com (and I can give you the update that they certainly have not changed their packaging methods since I last ordered, check my past post here to read what I'm talking about.
As eager as I am to try it out, I'm going to wait til Friday incase I have a tan-tastrophe and can hide away while it fades easier.
Also! I have a little cut and I don't want to make it horribly infected by putting on lotions, hopefully it will all be healed by Friday- if there's anything to make a boo-boo feel better it's Hello Kitty plasters
I'm hoping to give you a day-by-day pictures of how/if my tan develops over the days following, have you tried this product? Love it ? Hate it? Let me know!

Hello kitty dreams!
Thursday, 12 April 2012
Sometimes, when I can't sleep or feel bad the best thing that I can do sometimes is to look through some of the prettiest pictures.
These are the newest ones to my collection of 'happy pictures'
I like them especially because they didn't come from google images, I took them myself, so I was right there in that moment and I can go back there in my day and night dreams whenever I want.
But they don't even have to be real pictures, they can be moving photographs in our mind, with rainbow edging and covered in stardust!
They chase the bad shadows away and carry us on a fluffy cloud to anywhere that we would like!
What would be in your collection of 'happy pictures'?

Easter Sunday
Sunday, 8 April 2012
I would have loved to have had a lovely and relaxing day today with everyone
but...
I have to work- boo
But never mind because I still got to find that I had been accidentally bought an identical Easter egg - THREE times! (from three different people)
I'm not complaining though, who wouldn't love three sprinkly hello kitty eggs staring back at them?
Another pretty sight I saw was this:
I love the sky colours, and the sun breaking through the back!
It's such a nice way to brighten up what was a giant panel of plain ol' wood (and by giant I mean bigger than me!)
At christmas it had the silhouette of the three wise men on camels, and now it's suddenly changed to this! I'm not sure who does it, as it's right outside my house I've never seen anyone spray painting on it, maybe it's a mysterious Banksy- haha
Easter hugs from baby and mama hello kitty/bunny!

Just another Studded Sunday
Sunday, 4 March 2012
Sooo....
Kesha posted this picture of a shaved off patch of her hair with golden studs in it's place!
At first I though OUCH- buuuuut, then I realised they most likely didn't staple the studs into her head like they do when they put studs on shoes, belts and jeans.
It's a little upgrade from the previous studded eybrows:

They hopefully didn't have to shave off her eyebrows to get studded eyebrows!
Aaaanyway, back to the hair studs I think that would feel so weird to accidentally brush over, the bristles of the brush would make like a 'clang/scrape' against her head, also.. what happens when her hair starts growing back through?
And finally... how do they get them off? If it's just a case of tweeze and pull, then that really is ouchy!
I know a lot of people like to criticise and say that it's gross and/or weird, yes it is a little weird but I've never seen it before and I think that's awesome!
After all, there are people that think everything is weird from feather extensions in your hair:
To dreadlocks in your hair:

I have bags under my eyes...
Saturday, 18 February 2012
Designer bags that is!
I'm joking, I actaully have some of the grossest bags I have ever seen in my life before me (or under my eyes as such) haha!
If you follow me on the ol' twitter then you may know that I did a bit of a spring clean or winter clean really and got rid of soooo many old bags that I've had for maybe 4 or 5 or 6 years, some even older and I just sat and thought, what on earth are these doing in my room!? I'll never ever use these!
I don't know about you but I'm more of a 'two bags at a time' sort of girl, I'll have one practical for everyday, and one more dressy, and I use them both until they wear out or I get sick of them, then buy another two, but the problem was- I wasn't actually getting rid of them, I was just keeping them in a 'safe place' incase I needed them.
If I've not used them in a year, then quite simply, I'm never going to use them!
Feast your eyes upon these as the four most picture worthy:
The last remaining to hit the shelves of the charity stores, the hello Kitty bag is actually quite cute but it's much too little for me, the grey bag has a cheerleader on it with sticky out pom poms!
As for the playboy one... Maybe someone will want it for a fancy dress party to go as a playboy bunny? Haha, I'm not so sure.
The grey glitzy clutch actually still has a tag on it, and it is kind of nice, but it's good to be ruthless when cleaning out!
So there you go, a little peek into some of the worst of the worst, but I sure hope it made you smile, or at least made you remember maybe something that you store up to use 'another time' but that time will never come! So we can all have a clear out together!

emBRACE the Bracelet!
Thursday, 16 February 2012
These home crafter thread bracelts are such a dream!
They remind me of summer holidays, crafy friends, and making wishes!Anyway, I found these one's on Pinterest (Which I keep calling Pinteresting- not cool)
The blue waters in the background make me thirsty for summer!
http://pinterest.com/pin/148829962655616997/ |
I remember one time in Paris, someone who made these for tourists for a living approached me and began making one, and before he tied it closed on my wrist told me to make a wish, I did and... It came true! I don't know if it was a magical bracelet or not haha, at least I hope not because I think I threw it out...
I got another one for my 18th birthday, it didn't have fancy weaving in it (which I tried to do myself and... it didn't go well. I can barely do french braids haha) but it has little navy blue beads and one tiny Hello Kitty one, and in a weird way I kind of treasure it! I went through a phase of even showering with it on. But then It feels like it's getting grubby so I have to take it off, I often think that when I see people with fabric festival wristbands on that are two or three years old, how much sweat is sitting in the threads of them!?
That's my lil ol' Kitty bracelet!
She looks mighty cute and much more fitting to the cold season we're having right now.
So are you a thread bracelet liker? Or do you prefer them as souvenirs, or maybe not at all!
Deliciousness wrapped in ribbon

I spent the last night or so wrapping up my latest and most fun creations yet! Every vest I make is my new favourite, I love trying to put lots of colours on each vest so that they'll match every shade of belt, bangle or bracelet. These are the new ones of this month:

Why today has been wonderfully lucky...
Monday, 23 January 2012
1.My beautiful patches from the other side of the world arrived! In an envelope covered with exotic stamps, here's a little peek of the patches!
Expect to see lots of wonderful Hello Kitty and Harajuku designs up soon, meanwhile, you can see the current treats I have for sale here:

2. I was able to rescue my videos from my camera!
3. While editing, I saved my video for the first time once it was nearly all edited and then thirty seconds later the software crashed!
4. Some footage that wasn't importing correctly suddenly decided to import correctly once the programme had crashed.
5. My friend has leant me the book 'One day' which I'm really excited to read although I've heard mixed thoughts- some people love it, others have said it's mediocre, I'm not sure where my thoughts are on this one!
