If there was ever anything that you needed to cheer you up on a Thursday so that you can make it through until the weekend it would be this:
The cheerful and wonderful surprise of a sunshine yellow rubber duck magically appearing in your bath
I didn't put him there
You didn't put him there
So he must have swam there!
The thing that makes it even better than a regular rubber duck
is that he's the size of about 20 rubber ducks and too big for my bath!
He's like a ray of sunshine on a not-so-fun day
(I think he's a 'he' for sure... I just get the feeling)
Bathtime with Ducky and an early bedtime for me!

Why worry?
Wednesday, 2 May 2012

This bird picture made me smile- he looks like he's really worrying and pondering over life! |
A year is a short space of time but a lot can happen- can you remember where you were in your life a year ago, and worries you had?
Me neither.
Why?
Because they don't matter anymore; they're not a part of our life anymore.
This is super important to focus on, those worries nestled in your brain and the things that are getting you down...
Will it matter a year from now?
My mum would always tell me the amazing statistic that 90% of the things that you worry about never even happen
...and when you think about it, it's so true- we worry more about things that might happen than things that have happened
So instead focus on the future, finding and reaching your dreams and goals.
Think about...
What will we wish we had done in a years time?
Premature end of week blues
Saturday, 14 April 2012
Are you feeling what I usually call 'That Sunday feeling' ?
Where you feel gloomy at the thought of a new week and all the things that you'll have to do?
I know, it's the worst!
Dread and greif, ugh worst two feelings ever.
I hate to say that the solution to every problem is on YouTube- but I think that it pretty much is!
A video or type of video makes me feel so much happier and gigglier and forgetful of all the annoying things that I want to forget!
So here you go:
You can thank me later!

Hello kitty dreams!

Sometimes, when I can't sleep or feel bad the best thing that I can do sometimes is to look through some of the prettiest pictures.
These are the newest ones to my collection of 'happy pictures'
I like them especially because they didn't come from google images, I took them myself, so I was right there in that moment and I can go back there in my day and night dreams whenever I want.
But they don't even have to be real pictures, they can be moving photographs in our mind, with rainbow edging and covered in stardust!
They chase the bad shadows away and carry us on a fluffy cloud to anywhere that we would like!
What would be in your collection of 'happy pictures'?

Everyone has someone who thinks this about them.
E-v-e-r-y-o-n-e!
Celebrate this by telling someone today how glad you are to have them, and how blessed they make you feel- the world needs more joy and happiness to spread from peoples words!
If you're a little word shy, you can use something like this to get your message across!

Ice cream coloured top, with delicious looking bows |
Ice cream coloured jeans- these are my delicious lilac pair! |
Ice cream coloured jacket (you can get blue ice cream, right?) from Harajuku at TK Maxx |
Vanilla coloured shoes! |
Sprinkles to top it all off! |
Ice cream coloured sky tonight- this simply must signify sweet dreams! And an even sweeter week to follow
Sweet, melty, dreamy dreams!

The Two E's...

Eat to be nourished
Exercise to be fit
I can't take credit for this quote but I sure think it's an important one. Especially at this time of year-it's apparently the most depressing month in regards to weight because we all wake up to the realisation that we've not been able to shift that 'Christmas weight'
When I think about the amount of people around us that are unhappy or want to lose weight, this quote is what always springs to mind, it's as though people need reminding (myself included!) That indeed it's not about being so skinny our bones can be seen through our skin, or going to bed with our stoamchs grumbling.
It's about doing a workout whether it's at the gym or in front of a workout show on the television because of that wonderful 'zing!' you feel running through your blood afterwards that means we're a little less puffed out once we get to the top of the stairs (or is that just me?)
It's about thinking 'I could eat this fried chicken or burger..... orrr..... I could eat a chicken sandwich with some tomatoes, salad, maybe a little mayo and pepper'
It's tough to fight against impulse but I think about how I'll feel afterwards and that makes the decision for me, not only is the fried chicken greasy, bad for my skin, salty and fatty- I'm also going to be hungry in a short space of time because there's no real 'substance' to junk food and it doesn't fill us up for long- so we technically have to eat more because of it!
Something like a sandwich has more to it and will keep us from falling asleep in the early evenings from low energy.
So remember if you or anyone you know is feeling misguided about where to go or what new fad to follow to improve confidence within their body: Eat to be nourished. Exercise to be fit
