Yo Sushi Yo Shopping

Wednesday, 24 July 2013

I haven't eaten at Yo Sushi for over a year, but my mama and I decided to eat there again for a fun conveyor belt lunch!
I ate my favourite first of all which was the green beans in salt, you have to suck and pop the pods, eat the beans inside and discard the pod, they're like delicious savoury snacks, better than crisps!
I had a sweet and sour chicken-y thing, some other California rolls, one was rolled in chilli powder so I gave that to my mama that was a little too spicy for me. I also had a bottomless cup of miso soup which I love love love!
I had three refills!

Then for the first time we were tempted by the conveyor belt desserts! We shared a plate of rice balls with a chocolate filling and they were to our surprise not a fondant texture at all, but a real gooey, squishy texture which felt really nice to pinch! They were not too sweet and had a very distinct rice flavor, but were delicious.
Then we shared some custard filled pancakes with a strawberry sauce that tasted like crushed strawberries. They were even more delicious, but by this point I was feeling rather sick as we had acquired a huge pile of plates!

Then we did a little shopping and this was by far my favorite front page of the newspapers to announce the arrival of the royal baby
I was treated courtesy of my mother to a 'summer onesie' which are the comfiest summer pjs ever! it was the last one left in the Next sale

I then got this adorable rose jumper from the Zara sale which was £7.99!

And finally, a mini version of the green toned Smashbox face primer. the sample felt amazing on my skin, and I'm looking for a primer to cancel out the redness of my horrible blemishes, I'm yet to see how good it is! The full priced bottle is £25, which took my breath away a little, so I treated myself to the cuter size for £12

Pastels- NEXT!

Friday, 29 June 2012

I love and adore the pastels thing going on this Spring, it's pretty rare that I ever jump into a fashion trend head first as fashion dates so fast, but pastel colours are just completely irresistable to me and before I  know it I have a whole pastel rainbow going on!
So here's my pastel favourites from my wardrobe

Pink pastel skinny jeans from Next £18

...and they were soo comfy I got the lilac from there too, same price

Mint ones (my personal favourite) are more super-skinny and the best colour! from H&M they were a present from my sister so I don't know the price!

Polka dot mint blouse from Next, also kids section priced at around £16-£18 I can't remember!

Black shoesies are not very -fresh- so I go for white pumps the same kinda colour as this shirt collar
I got a mint scarf it came from Brick Lane market and cost something like 50p! Wee!

To top it all off.. a vanilla cake bag! Yum

Natural School & Work Makeup and smart outfit!

Wednesday, 2 May 2012

Isn't is the nicest when you have a little extra time in the mornings to 'do things properly'
My morning wasn't the usual flurry of pulling on my clothes while spoon feeding myself cereal  and I got to breathe a sigh of releif and take it slowly!

So here's whats on my face:
Bare Minerals foundation in shade Fairly Light
Blusher on my cheek bones in shade Well Dressed by MAC
Tiniest bit of bronzer in my cheek hollows product is by Bare Minerals and called Warmth (I don't believe thats the name of the shade, just the nameof the products)
Body Shop Red lip tint on my lips
Slick of vaseline over the top!
Cosmic brown eyeliner by Avon
Black Mascara by Bare Escentuals

How did you do your hair?
Read my old blog post here (it has a bazillion pictures and is so super easy)

The scoop on my outfit:

Pretty blue knitted jumper came from a Next outlet store , very pretty and comfy but also smart when paired with a suit

Grey wool suit came from the regular Next store, it's comfy but the skirt shifts about the wasit through the day as it has no elastic in the waist which can make it a little uncomfy and impractical at times, but I like that it hits just right on the leg (it's hard to tell from the awkward picture angle) and that it's not pleated, but kind of wavy and girly rather than standard straight pencil skirts

I pair it with a matching blazer, black opaque tights and some black flat shoes and a few rings on each hand and I'm good to go!

Ice cream coloured jacket (you can get blue ice cream, right?) from Harajuku at TK Maxx

Vanilla coloured shoes!

Sprinkles to top it all off!

Ice cream coloured sky tonight- this simply must signify sweet dreams! And an even sweeter week to follow

Sweet, melty, dreamy dreams!
