Moving out, Flying away

Today I've packed up my little room into boxes, and I leave this room forever, I come back to this city in 4 months and in the meantime I'll be living back at home.
I couldn't figure out how to pack my makeup so I've ended up putting it in a shoe box and sticking a fragile label on the lid!

Tomorrow I make my way to Italy for a holiday and I return on the 23rd of June!
In the mean time I won't be blogging because I won't even have the space to bring my laptop, and I don't think the place where we are going has internet, and if it does I don't want to be tempted to use it because a technology detox every once in a while can't be a bad thing, right!?

My videos will still be up every Saturday and I've got some really fun bright, and more natural looks coming up, I can't wait for you to see them!

Packing up for easter

There's nothing much excitign going on here.
I'm travelling home from university for an Easter 'break'
it's been snowing and the snow is going to follow me home so I'm unfortunately packing jumpers and jeans when I was hoping it would be the kind of weather for summer dresses and sandals... nevermind

I've crammed it with stuff to leave at home on a permanent basis until Summer, so my case shouldn't be this full coming back- hopefully!

And now I'm all washed out from transport I can barely keep my eyes open!

Packing up and the most annoying game ever!

I'm packing up and going everywhere so much that it's really driving me loopy loo!
I now have a permanent list on the notes app of generic stuff to pack that I might forget- top of the list are hair ties and bobby clips. I can't stand, not just a little bit, like it really gets on my nerves- not being able to tie my hair up when I want to, I hate it in my face, touching my face because it feels like it's making my skin oily and I hate strands of fringe falling over my face I think it makes hair look greasy because it has separated from other strands of hair- anyway enough about hair...

Nothing else really exciting happened today except for packing, and my crazy-cool glass of water. Sometimes, if I'm not super thirsty in a 'need-a-glass' kind of way I will put a glass of water in the freezer for 5 minutes or so, then it becomes super ice cold, I accidentally forgot about my water today for about 20 minutes and this happened:

The edge of my water had made itself into little icicles! It was so pretty! If I tried to make it happen again I bet it wouldn't.

And my final nugget of interesting trivia for today is that I downloaded the game 4 pictures 1 word. It's the most annoying game that I have have ever ever known. If you don't know what it is, it's a collection of four pictures that are all trying to describe the same word. Some are super easy an you can get in a second, without even looking properly at the pictures but I was stuck on this one for a full 2 hours maybe more:

I think that is the worst visual description of plenty that I have ever ever seen. There are lots like this, that are simply stupid and don't relate to the word in the slightest. So my review of this app is poor.

I'm goign to finish there, because this is the most random blog post that I have ever done before I think!

Packing up again!

It's that time when I have to pack everything up into a suitcase, take it all out again and repack, then repeat several times until everything just about fits, then I drag my luminous pink suitcase up and down stairs and escalators and on and off trains until I can breathe a sigh of relief when I am back home!

I was going to take a picture of my suitcase, but I do this every time I travel I'm sure you know what my suitcase looks like!

On a brighter note... My mum has made me the most delicious brownies for the journey so that makes it seem a little sweeter!

Outside my window right now a lot of snow is falling which makes me nervous for how smooth the journey will go.. we shall see...

A week since I moved...

It's been a little over a week since I first moved into my new dorm room, I've not got everything in it's place yet, and some parts still need rearranging, but this is the little overview and before and after of the chaos! The after is pretty blurry, I didn't realise until afterwards- sorry about that!

I still have some parts that I can't decide where they should go, for example the room has no drawers whatsoever, my old bedroom was full of drawers- so I'm finding it hard to get used to not having a designated pyjama drawer and such!

You can't tell from this angle but there is a door leading the bathroom right behind, the bathroom is very tiny and when you have a shower the water gets over everything which can be pretty annoying to wait to dry.
I did purchase some really cute Flash 'vintage edition bottle' style bathroom cleaner which I think is really fun, oh the small perks of responsibilities! It cost like £1 from Tesco which was the real reason why I bought it.
So there you have it- a little peek into the goings on in this new place

They can be waiting as my arrival when I come home...

I shall miss my room and all it's lovely little nooks and crannys, storage space, wardrobes and my precious geisha picture on the wall

The place that looks the most deserted is my desk! It usually has my mirror, layers of makeup, moisturisers, notebooks, perfume and all my makeup brushes and now...

It's empty! Except for my Hello Kitty protect mat, for when I do makeup or crafts on my desk, and a backup bottle of BareMineras 'Skin rev-er upper' as I already have two bottles packed up which will last me for months!

I still have no idea what waits for me in my new room, I have arough jist of the size and I know I have my own bathroom, but that's about it for now! Well at least I know I'll be able to wash and sleep under shelter haha... hoepfully there's a window, flooring and doors too!

Who left the rubbish in the hallway?

You would be forgiven for thinking that 5 black sacks, 1 box of fragiles, 1 hot pink suitcase and one giant blue laundrette bag are all set to go out the rubbish but no... this is infact my most essential items from the past 18 years packed up into bags, cases and boxes and if any of that went out the rubbish I sure would notice!

　

My room here at my family home still looks just like my room, it's only until you open the wardrobe and cupboards that you see that the cupboards are a little bare

I can't believe that the next time that I see my things it will be in my new room, in a new flat with new roomates!

So you think you're too OLD for a slumber party!?

While arranging to stay at my friends house we decided to make it a fun theme like the 'old days' when staying over for slumber parties were the greatest thing ever!I remember being so excited I couldn't sleep on a Monday for a Slumber party on the Friday or Saturday!
So here's a little look at what was in my sleep over bag I wish I had pictures from what I would take when I was 12 or so to do a side by side comparison!

We watched a lot of back to back episodes of Friends until my eyes cemented shut!

Fun fact of the day: I Forgot to tug the tag out of my pants and was waking around with it alllllll day and didn't notice until I changed 30 mins ago, luckily it was on the inside.

Did you use to/ still do love slumber parties?

I'm packing!

Probably one of my most least favourite things to do! I find it near on impossible to effectively gather everything I'll need for a week, into a limited space.
I've decided these are my top space saving tips!
-Bring one pair of versatile shoes (mine are my little ankle boots with a buckle, can be dressed up or down)
-Do not bring every makeup brush, I can double up uses for some if i think about it especially with eye shadow blending brushes
-Do not bring every eyeshadow, a neutral pallette can be adapted for night time, just add more of the dark colour and blend etc
-Do not bring every ring and necklace I own

...that's all I've got!

My makeup bag I've got to fit it all into! I love this thing because it's wipe clean fabric and there's sure to be an explosion somewhere along the way...

I maybe dislike packing mostly because then the morning of when you're leaving you think 'oh I need that hairbrush' then you remember 'oh darn it's in my bag' and have to use a awful comb you found in a drawer.
Then on the way to where you're heading you're sat there thinking 'Have i got everything?' 'I'm sure I forgot something'
I remember one time I forgot a headband, and I thought this would be no big deal- it turned out to be so irritating to not have one to wash my face at night time, and holding my hair back just got it all wet!
I still need to pack leggings, pjs, work, camera, pressed powder makeup (goes in a smaller bag that I carry to stop it from breaking or getting crushed in the pan in a big bag)
I'm still waiting for some stuff to get out the wash so it can be ready and I leave tomorrow!

Throughout this week uploading videos won't be possible, but.... I'll have captured lots of fun footage to put up the following week and of course I'll be blogging every day still.
