New Video: How to customise Furby 2012 !

Saturday, 11 May 2013

Okay so we're in 2013 but these cute balls of fun are still the 2012 generation of Furby!

This video is not about giving me a make over but instead, giving Furby a make over, he was quite happy to be a the star of the show.

Although I did have to edit a lot because he kept talking over me!
Unfortunately the lighting starts off very low at first, but about half way through the make over it rectifies itself.
Here is my basic customisation of blinging and sparkling up Furby. I got my sticky backed sparkle gems as a free gift years ago with a childrens magazine for anyone asking. As i reiterate several times I would recommend this over glue unless you definately want this as a permanent feature of the Furbs. I'm not certain, adn I'd quite like to change it up in the future with coloured gems, aswell as adding more along the ears and feet!
Providing you do this correctly it doesn't damage Furby in anyway or his precious mechanisms, it just makes him look even more Prada!

Here's a link to some gems that look pretty similar: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176-x-4-3-2mm-Self-Adhesive-Diamantes-Stick-On-Rhinestone-Gems-Sticky-Crystals-/251175311506?pt=UK_Crafts_Beads_CA&var=&hash=item3a7b371892
For only 99p!

Happy Sparkling!

Sparkle Makeover for Furby!

Thursday, 18 April 2013

I got a new generation 2012 Furby and he is the cutest, most scrumptious thing ever!
He made an appearance in another blog post at some point earlier on.
Anywho, I saw on ebay way before I got my Furby customised Furbies that have swarovski crystals all around the eyes, some even in the ears and on the feet too. I just wanted one so bad! But they were over $100 plus shipping to England.
When I went home for Easter I found some old stick on gems that were from an old craft magazine years ago and I took the gamble and put them on Furby, well he looks so much cuter for it!!!
I even made a video showing you how I spaced the gems, but since you're reading my blog you get an exclusive peek at a video that might not get edited and uploaded for another month.
Here he is!

He doesn't look so happy here but he definitely loves his new look, without a doubt...

New Years Eve!

Monday, 31 December 2012

We are having a wild New Years Eve here...

At around dinner time we got into our PJs, ate an Indian takeout, planned to make fresh candyfloss on my candyfloss macine but then decided that it was much easier to just eat fresh chocolate Brownies instead.

Then, through some dreadful twist of fate I was convinced to watch Dawn of the Dead until the New Years countdown, which is slowly creeping upon us. Then, we're going to watch the dazzling fireworks in London... from our Tv which is not in London, I will probably be wearing a onesie, so I will spare you pictures of my super fabulous and glamorous outfit of the day!

Wherever you are this New Years Eve, I hope that you are having the most wonderful time, and are able to reflect on 2012 knowing that it was a truly amazing year and you have grown and become a better person for it, even with the hardships and knocks.

If you're having a crazy night in like us (haha)

Here are some pretty fireworks to make it feel like you are having a dazzling night out!

The Olympics

Sunday, 5 August 2012

It seems odd that so far I haven't posted a single Olympic related post, and it's not because I'm one of those conspiracy people that think something bad is going to happen, and it's not because I am 'anti-olympics' and it's not because I am somehow unaware that they are going on.
It's just because to me it's not that much of a 'Big Deal' sure I flick on TV from time to time and watch snippets of this sport and that sport, and I keep updated on the medals we get each day and I totally enjoyed the opening ceremony, but I think if every day I blogged about the Olympics that would get dull! Especially seeing as I'm not there, so lots of news companies who were there can tell you a much better article than I can, and are much more 'sport informed' too!

But seeing as I want to say something about it, otherwise it looks like I'm pretending it's not happening at all!
I'll tell you about my favourite part of the opening ceremony...

I loved how it began on a sort of farm that resembled Teletubby land! It was super creative how it all peeled away to become something much more industrial looking.

Then how the comstruction line in the industrial part formed the seperate rings that made the olympic rings, that then erupted golden rain!

It looked so glorious and sparkly!

My third and favourite little section was Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean)

He reminded me of my childhood when I used to watch so much Mr Bean- and he still does the 'Mr Bean' character so well, it was cute and very 'British'

So there you go, my two cents on the opening ceremony!

Pastels- NEXT!

Friday, 29 June 2012

I love and adore the pastels thing going on this Spring, it's pretty rare that I ever jump into a fashion trend head first as fashion dates so fast, but pastel colours are just completely irresistable to me and before I  know it I have a whole pastel rainbow going on!
So here's my pastel favourites from my wardrobe

Pink pastel skinny jeans from Next £18

...and they were soo comfy I got the lilac from there too, same price

Mint ones (my personal favourite) are more super-skinny and the best colour! from H&M they were a present from my sister so I don't know the price!

Polka dot mint blouse from Next, also kids section priced at around £16-£18 I can't remember!

Black shoesies are not very -fresh- so I go for white pumps the same kinda colour as this shirt collar
I got a mint scarf it came from Brick Lane market and cost something like 50p! Wee!

To top it all off.. a vanilla cake bag! Yum

The Good The Bad & The Ugly

Monday, 23 April 2012

Today was a straight up mixture of all three:
We'll start negative and go to positive

The Ugly:
-I had a long walk in the rain, the one day that I forget my darn umbrella. This also meant that I had to wash my hair again, and I try to keep a day between washes to give my hair a little break but the universe decides nuh-uh wash that hurr again!

The Bad:
-I was wearing a pair of 'last resort' trousers- the kind that give me ugly red marks on my hips as they are just a little too tight, not cute
-Neverending workload!
-The screen protector that I ordered was a total annoyance and bind, it left ugly bubbles all over the screen and totally obscured the viewing so I had to peel it off and try and start over but the little protectant was simply not having any of it!

 The Good:
-The company are sending me a new screen protector for free, hopefully I shall have more luck with that one
-I used a new dove conditioner which has made my hair feel the most luscious that it has felt in a long, long time (Before that I was using BB conditioner which I found to be a complete waste of money!)

The downright crazy:
Okay so I made a whole new catagory because I felt like it needed to be said, the weather it super cray-cray right now, we've gone through all seasons in one day for every day the past week now! I don't get it, I don't remember Aprils being this erratic I don't know what I'm even wearing when I get up as in the mornings I'm all warm in my cosy room then I get outside and it all goes downhill from there.

Sometimes it's good to reflect on the good, bad, ugly, crazy, happy, clappy parts of your day so you can always be glad that no matter how much of a mundane-average day it sempt, their were little gems in it to still be appreciated!
Also... lets look back at my favourite sky pictures! We'll be back to sunny break through clouds and ice cream skies soon!

Happy Monday!

Stars in my eyes!

Friday, 20 April 2012

Galaxy and space prints have been popular for a while now.
What's great about them is that lot's of the colours in the galaxy and outer space are pastel coloured which makes them bang on trend for this Spring, but the mixture of silky fabrics and inky blues for the night sky dress up pastel colours to stop them looking too innocent and day time and to jazzle it up a little!

Here's my favourite galaxy products:

These leggings are so fun and delicious! They're from Blackmilkclothing.com, Black Milk sells amazing clothing but it's pretty much all the stuff of dreams for me so I just browse and drool!

This top is so fun and perfect with some casual shorts and little booties andd... it's much more purse friendly at £9.95 from here good ol' eBay!

If you're not into the colours in galaxy prints then maybe these are your thing, they sure are mine!
Mostly because they GLOW IN THE DARK!

These would be so fun on a night out, and it's a sure way to have everyone looking at your pegs!
Available from here

If you're snazzy with a sewing machine you can craft something beautiful from this, I kind of fancy a fabric cuff from this beautiful stuff! Available from here

Orr..... if you hate everything here and think stars belong in the sky and not on clothes then you just might love love love one of my favourite Apps to date 'Star Walk'

It's incredibly beautiful, and it shows you the stars above you, it gives you facts and incredible 'pictures of the day' from our universe; minus the complex language and scary astronomy chat.

It's relaxing to look at before I fall asleep. It makes me feel a lot of wonderment and is grounding to realise how immensely huge the universe is; it's a comfort not to worry about the little things and let them deal with themselves in a world as big as ours.

P.S Remember tomorrow is Earth Day and Origins are giving away free products! Check my post on April 1st for more details!

Oh Oh Oscars!

Thursday, 1 March 2012

Perhaps the hottest Waga-mama on the carpet:

I supersized this picture! Just so that we can all absorb the luxury that is Angelina's Versace dress, a little velvet clinch in the waist and black waterfalls of velvet cascade down one leg with a lengthy slit up the other, she's wearing a bright crimson lip to jazz it all up a little.

I'm glad there's a few pictures of this one in all different lights so that we can pick up all the angles of the pleats, I think in this picture here the dress looks a little one dimensional, when actually it's got angular structures of fabric all over the place, but in this one we can appreciate her makeup a little more as she is wearing a bronze to brown gradient on her eyes to warm up her face and compliment her honey highlights.

Viola Davis is wearing Vera Wang, and I love this dress because it reminds me of something that a mermaid would wear, were they going to the Oscars too! The frill on the edge is ruffled like underwater plant life and the gentle pleats in the skirt remind me of fins, or ripples of water. The skirt isn't perfect and symmetrical and I love that- it makes you want to look at it more and more. Finally, the clusters of jewels on top balance out the goings on on the top and bottom half of the dress (check out the woman in the background in the black dress, she looks so chic and unfazed by the red carpet, as though she's waiting for a bus or something!)

Another strapless, Cameron is doing the nude body-con thing with a swishy twist at the bottom. This little Gucci get-up is pretty and spring time it's a shame that her shoes will remain forever a mystery, perhaps she was even wearing trainers under all that! Wouldn't that be a sight!? I think Cameron looks like a woman who works out, check out those biceps!

Jennifer Lopez wore a gown by Zuhair Murad and I've got to say, the pattern reminds me a lot of this:

A scallop shell?
Can anyone else see the resemblance? Anyway, It's a nice change from a lot of strapless and has lots of glittering detail in the middle which brightens up the nude colour scheme. Jlo is all chiselled out with bronzer and wearing a dramatic charcoal smokey eye.

And of course, how could I finish up on anyone other than Oprah? Wearing a classically beautiful gold Theia dress and gold frop earrings and a matching gold Oscar!

Of course with the Oscars it's excitement and anticiaption to see the outfits and the makeup but the speeches are where suddenly these incredible, untouchable people become humanised again as they thank everyone and let their emotions pour out- it's wonderful I love it.

On another note- I'm especially glad that The Artist came away with so many Oscars and that Rango won best animated feature film! It really was!

So there you go, my little mini, itty bitty round up of The Oscars, although I didn't even scratch the surface on the amount of glamour that night!

It's Valentines day!!

Happy Valentines Day 2012!
Maybe cupid has struck you with a bow, maybe you've sent a secret card to someone else- I hope that it works out wonderfully for you!
I found out about some fun Valentines day traditions that made me smile, and I hope they do you too.

Hundreds of years ago in England, many children dressed up as adults on Valentine's Day. They went singing from home to home. One verse they sang was:
Good morning to you, valentine;
Curl your locks as I do mine ---
Two before and three behind.
Good morning to you, valentine.

In the Middle Ages, young men and women drew names from a bowl to see who their valentines would be. They would wear these names on their sleeves for one week. To wear your heart on your sleeve now means that it is easy for other people to know how you are feeling.

Here's a little look into the fun things I bought for St Valentines big day:
Bunting decoration to hang between my windows!

Two peas in a pod fluffy keychain!

I thought this card was so funny, I got it from Paperchase! But I think it says a valid point too, if we have no one to love on valentines day, who better to love than ourselves!?

For more on what kind of crazy silliness I got up to today (including special shaped toast) check my twitter for updates all day!

And just incase you missed it, this years Valentines day makeup tutorial:

Whether you spent today with your family, or friends, or partner, or pet goldfish I hope you had a day bubbling over with love! xxx
