Pretty in Pink Makeup Tutorial Urban Decay Naked Palette 3

Sunday, 16 February 2014

It's such a myth that pink eye shadows are tricky to wear, paired with the right colours and the right amount of blending it is such a gem to have in your arsenal!

This is my most recent look using pinks as a base

A little mini breakdown of what happened is as follows:
1.Eyeshadow base
2. Apply a matte white shade all over the lid
3. Apply a bronze pigment around the outer eye and the outer half of the crease
4. Apply a mild baby matte pink on the middle part of the eye
5. Run a white eyeshadow pencil along the inner corner of the eyes and blend with your finger
6. Apply the matte white shadow on the brow bone
7. Run a white eyeliner along the waterline
8. Use a brown gel liner along the upper lash line and the outer third of the lower lash line
9. Apply mascara
10. A slick of cute pink gloss

You are done!

If you are looking for a little more detail, and 3 and a half minutes - or so of fun, watch the tutorial here!

Urban Decay Festive Gold Sparkle Makeup Tutorial!

Wednesday, 20 November 2013

Woohoo,
Getting my Christmas groove on because lets face it, winter makeup is about 100 x more fun than summer makeup which is quite often 'no' makeup makeup looks (I have a few on my channel, just in case you were interested...)
I've created a very very glittery eye, golden glitters for that matter- and added some brown glitter and brown eyeliner accents to keep it all very warm.

On my lips I am wearing Mac lip liners in Cherry and Chestnut, I only ever use these liners together- No exceptions! It creates a velvet lip look with a whole lot of festive POP
There's plenty more where that came from...

New Video: Summer Pink POP! Makeup Tutorial

Monday, 22 July 2013

Todays video is just perfect for Summer when you want to wear natural, mostly light products but a bit bright lip POW to jazz it all up a little and makek it look like you have made a real effort when actually it's taken you all of five minutes

I'm wearing eyeshadow colours all from the Urban Decay Vice palette but all you really need is a matte skin tone colour, a lighter gold and a darker gold colour!
For the lips you can wear any bright colour you want, I show a few swatches in the video, the Maybelline Colour stay in shade Pink or Peach Cocktail, I can't remember it's name and I don't think it says on it, a generic pink from a big makeup kit I got given ages ago, and a Revlon Lip butter because well we all love them!

Be brave and add a little pop to your makeup this summer!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Gold Bronze Rose-Gold Taupe ~ Swatches

Sunday, 26 May 2013

Superdrug had 3 for 2 across all of it's beauty lines, so even though I had a less than magnificent experience with my first Color Tattoo in Eternal Gold, I decided I wouldn't give up on them as a concept altogether.
I got the 'On and On Bronze' which is called 'Bad to the Bronze' outside Europe I think, Pink Gold and Permanent Taupe.

They look so pretty all stashed side by side, I like how there is detailing on both sides of the container so whether you store them lid up or lid down you can still see what they are and the shades inside.

You can see all the beautiful colours, they're all shimmery except for Permanent Taupe and can be used on top of an eyeshadow base but I think they work just fine as a base in their own right for other eye colours, or you can use them simply as a cream eyeshadow.

Here I've swatched them down the inside of my arm, no primer just on bare skin

At the top is Permanent taupe which was the most stubborn colour to remove from my arm, it took around three washes which bodes well because my eyelids can get oily shifting my eye makeup throughout the day.
Next down is Pink Gold which is my favourite colour based on how gorgeous it is, however it was similar to Eternal Gold to swatch which you may have rad in my previous review that I did not especially like as I felt it wasn't that pigmented and kind of flaky.
Next is Eternal Gold which is clearly the weakest of the swatches. It doesn't have the gorgeous craemy consistency of Permanent Taupe.
Finally, On and On Bronze which is a warmer version of Permanent Taupe and is a perfect every day colour.

I love how all swatched down my arm they look like ice cream colours, I can't wait to create some beautiful looks for you guys using these!

New video: Kim Kardashian Golden Beauty Makeup Tutorial

Saturday, 25 May 2013

Woooo it's new video time! I always feel under pressure when I have to film edit and upload on the same day, which I had to do today. I put new videos around the Thursday-Saturday mark but no later than Saturday, and I just made the cut as this uploaded at approximately 11pm UK time.
I hope you love it!
It's a beautiful golden look using the Urban Decay naked palettes, I even use a shadow wet- hows that for mixing things up a little?

This was the picture that I used for reference:

And here I am desperately trying to imitate the glamour!

Here's the video...

Enjoy!

New video! All That Glitters isn't gold Makeup Tutorial

Friday, 3 May 2013

Here I am before a night out and I was feeling a black and gold look!

It's really quick and easy! I use my beautiful and well-loved Urban Decay Vice Palette, but any nude, gold and matte black will do (I think I prefer Sleeks matte black eyeshadows)
I was going to re flim this as I'd purchased the Maybelline 24 hour Color tattoo in eternal gold but I'm not thankful that I didn't as me and that product are not getting along right now...
Enjoy!

A read it on-the-go gold cuff!
I'm just kidding of course, but these really are super stylish and fun

Wuthering Heights Book Emily Bronte's Haunting Literary Classic Brass Cuff Bracelet - Valentine's Day

I came across this baby at
 http://www.etsy.com/listing/62366640/wuthering-heights-book-emily-brontes

My heart nearly skipped a beat!
I've never seen something so beautiful and unusual and sophisticated and classic and timeless all in once piece! It contains the quote from Wuthering heights scribed on in red swishy writing "Whatever our souls are made of his and mine are the same"
It's so cute!

Although reading Wuthering Heights in school sure was no fun to me, It's pieces like this that help keep classics like that going on and on forever for generation after generation to read.
The people behind this company have all kinds of interesting designs, they have cuffs printed with music notes if your more of a musical kind of person, or roses, or alice in wonderland illustrations.
So many! Plus I love that it's free shipping all over the world!

Valentines Day - Pride and Prejudice Book by Jane Austen Mr Darcy Proposal Quote Brass Cuff Bracelet in Blue - free shipping

This one is my other favourite and it reads "You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you" from Pride and Prejudice

I can't decide on my favourite! Until I know what one I definately love the most I can't buy as I don't want to do an 'impulse buy' especially as it's £25 a pop

Let me know your favourite piece from the whole collection, here's their storefront:

Keira Knightley 'A Dangerous Method' Makeup Tutorial

Sunday, 5 February 2012

I was inspired by the beautiful Keira Knightley to re create the makeup that she wore for the premiere of her new film 'A Dangerous Method' at the Venice film festival 2011. She wore a wonderfully regal, gold vintage looking dress with her hair clipped back neatly in a center parting.
For Makeup she has a wonderfulyl flawless but fresh face, with minimal blush and bronzer. But if you haven't got her fab cheekbones like me then we have to do a lot of chiselling with our bronzer to get the same effect.
For eyes she's wearing a bluey grey on the top lash and a gold mixed with brown along the bottom which looks beautiful with her rich brown eyes.
Couture dream: Keira Knightley looked stunning in the shimmering lace Valentino couture creation as she arrived at the premiere for A Dangerous Method
For more pictures, take a looky here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2033034/Venice-Film-Festival-2011-Keira-Knightley-A-Dangerous-Method-premiere.html

And here's my interpretation!

Woo! I may be no Keira Knightley, but I gave it my best shot, and perhaps the thick eyebrow is a look that I should be sporting? What do you guys think?

To get Ms Knightley's look take a look at the tutorial I uploaded:
