How likely is that to ever ever happen!?
Not that likely, but today I actually ate what may have been the worlds greatest ice cream sundae and I ate it on a Sunday!
We headed to the handmade burger company after the cinema (which I'll write about another day as It will be a long-un) and I ordered the lamb and mint burger which was suuuuper good, it had all delicious mint sauce that was just dreamy, it reminded me of the roast dinners that I would usually eat at home on Sundays, but it's too much work for just me to make when I'm not at home. I wish I'd taken a picture of it because they just make fast food burgers look like limp lifeless flatbread in comparison.
But I did get a dessert which was amazing, I think that they are a new addition to the menu, I chose the Banoffee pie flavour which had real pieces of banana in it. I can't do enough description that will do it justice, there would be random clumps of the buttery sweet biscuit base and piles of cream and ice cream and ooodles of caramel. Next to mine is the brownie and waffle version which was good but I think that mine was better! Just typing about it it making me too hungry to sleep so I'll just leave you with a picture and probably a sugar craving!
I have such a sweet tooth I just can't help it!

Evening walks and Handmade burgers
Friday, 9 November 2012
I went for an afternoon of walking around the city, but the afternoons get dark so quick here it feels like evening any time after 3pm.
I thought the city looked so pretty at night, there were water fountains with glowing blue lights that were so amazing, my camera couldn't catch a nice piture and all it shows is a blue blur- so you'll have to imagine...
and pretty statues infront of museum-looking houses
maybe the most magical part was dinner...
We went to the Handmade Burger Co who basically sell burgers (obviously) in every kind of variety imaginable, and they taste so good, and to be completely honest they're only a few £ more than a KFC or Mc Donalds meal and the quality is better, they fill you up for longer too (It has been 6 hours since I ate this burger and I still feel completely stuffed)
I had the:
Jimmy's beef cheese and bacon, which had mature cheddar, bacon, caramelised onion relish, mayo and salad.
It was like a mini monster, I never usually go for the meals with different types of meats and big bulky burgers, usually I have the Beef Milano which has pesto in it, mozzarella, mayo and rocket and then I ask for a flat mushroom to be put in too.
Next time I am dying to try their Lamb and mint burger, I love lamb, I love mint what's not to love!
If you are a vegetarian you are probably squirming at the thought of this menu, but they have gret veggie options too, like the falafel burger..mm..I love falafels!

You ate WHAT?
Saturday, 25 August 2012
I'm not much of a burger eater, If I go to McDonalds I'll have the Chicken Burger but the first ever 'red meat' burger I ate was this Summer at TGI Fridays and it was pretty good I have to admit, but today my friend and I passed a place that sold the most exotic burgers I've ever seen including Ostrich and Buffalo, I thought they looked so strange that I had to try them!
A little curious and sceptical we went for the Ostrich as apparently it's the most popular so we thought that it had to be the most popular for one reason or another!
It doesn't look too delicious there, but it really was good. It was served in a wholemeal burger bun with seeds in which was an extra nice touch and the meat itself didn't taste like something from a fast food chain, it tasted more like 'real meat'
Never having heard of Ostrich meat before I decided to do a little research to see if there was any benefits to Ostrich meat over any other type of meat or whether it was just a bit of a 'fad'
Here's what I found:
On that note, we should be hoping that the demand of Ostrich stays low so that organic practices remain prevalent!
What do you tihnk, would you ever try and Ostrich burger?
What's the strangest meat you have ever eaten?

Here's what I found:
Ostrich has two-thirds less fat than other red meat as well as more protein, fewer calories and less cholesterol than skinless chicken, skinless turkey, pork or beef.
Due to the low demand of ostrich, all natural and organic farming practices are more prevalent among ostrich farmers
